Dr. Barbara
Punch answered her call to the ministry in July of 1986, while employed as a Public School Administrator.
God's command was for her to preach, teach, and minister healing to the sick, (as the Lord worked with her). She was
ordained and immediately hit the road with the Good News. She joined a well-known healing team and traveled to Chicago, where
they prayed and ministered healing to over 8,000 people. People got saved, delivered, and set free from many nagging diseases.
Backs were restored from pain, fingers and toes were straightend out from crippling arthritis, excemia on the face and body
disappeared, and legs and arms grew out. Upon returning home, she ministered to the teachers, students, custodians, parents,
and other faculty members. Most of the teachers who came to her office complaining of a headache, knew that she did not carry
aspirins in her purse for headaches. She would tell them to lay their hand on their head and command the headache to leave
in Jesus Name. Shortly after the encounter in Dr. Punch's office , they would leave and tell others about how Jesus had healed
them. From then on the news spread.
As an educator, Dr. Punch
has taught Grades K-6, 10th, 11th and 12th grade in HISD. She was also a reading specialist, curriculum writer, and helped
to write the first gifted program in the Houston Independent School District. Dr. Punch is a liscensed Realtor and an
ordained Pastor. She served as the Pastor of New Life Miracle Church, Inc. for three years until God called
her to evangelize around the world, where she has ministered in over 29 Foreign Countries. Recently, she served the State
of Texas as a Texas Juvenile Probation Commissioner. She was appointed by Governor Rick Perry and served for 7 years.
Dr. Punch has a B.S. Degree in Business
Education, a Master's Degree in Administration, and an MS Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education; a Biblical Certificate
from Lakewood Bible Institute; and was awarded an Honorary Doctor's Degree for World-Wide Evangelism and World Misssions.
She was also a member of the Charismatic Bible Assocation in Tulsa, Oklahoma at ORU. On the mission field, as a Evangelist,
ministering and helping people, she traveled with the "Healing Team" of the late Evangelists Charles and Frances Hunter of
Kingwood, Texas, that ministered at various convention centers and churches in the United States. In these crusades, Jesus
healed the people, as God used Dr. Punch in a powerful way as she ministered. People received their healing and deliverance.
Abroad, Dr. Punch has preached the Gospel,
ministered, and prayed for many people in Africa, Jerusalem, Jordan, Cairo, Egypt; Israel, Manila, Philippines;
Bahamas, Jamaica, Isle of Patmos, Ephesus, Turkey; Dubai, Arab-Emirates; Frankfort, Germany; Canada, London, England; Taipei,
Paris, France; Lagos Nigeria, Africa; Taipei, Nomphen Phen & Siam Reap, Cambodia; Luxor & Answan, Egqpt; Hong Kong
& Shen-Shein, China; Rome, Italy; Athens, Greece; the Vatican, and many cities in the USA, such as Hawaii, California,
Houston and Beaumont, Texas.
God blessed the people mightily in these
Countries and States; and when the School of Ministry in Lagos Nigeria, Africa was conducted, over 40,000 Pastors came from
every State in Africa. The Pastors were anointed, refreshed, and went away with a "boldness" to change Africa and the world.
Currently, she has been called to pioneer "Opportunity Christian Miracle Church." Dr. Punch has received ministry impartations
from these well-known men and women in the ministry. Dr. Morris Cerullo of San Diego, California, where she is on his "Prayer
Strike-Force Team" and has traveled in ministry with him; the late Pastor John Osteen of Lakewood Church in Houston, the late
Kenneth Hagin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dr. Norvel Hayes of Cleveland, Tennesse; and Pastor Benny Hinn of California, in his
Pastor's Conference, as well as the late Evangelists Charles and Frances Hunter, where she traveled as a part of their
" Healing Team." Dr. Punch has also had the opportunity to visit the White
House, meet and attend both Presidential Inaugurations of George W. Bush and to meet and attend the Inauguration and Reception/Banquet
for President Barack Obama, our first Black President of the United States.
Dr. Barbara Punch has received numerous
awards and honors from the Houston Independent School District and the state of Texas. She has also received a Community Service
Award from the Mayor of Houston, the Houston Principal's Associatiton, the NAACP, Texas Junvenile Probation Commission, Governor
Rick Perry of Texas, and Micheal Williams, Railroad Commissioner of Texas, the Top Ladies of Distinction,Inc., the Houston
Association of Realtors, Dr. Morris Cerullo's Mission to All the World Evangelism, and numerous Community Service Awards from
Harris County Retired Teacher's Association in Houston, Texas. She also received an Ambassador's Certificate from Jerusalem,
Israel.
Dr. Punch has a love for people and has
worked with thousands of school children, parents, and teachers for over 30 years. She does conferences, retreats, revivals
and motivational speaking in churches and schools. God uses Dr. Punch in the Healing Ministry and her favorite Scriptures
are; Mark 15:15-18; Luke 4:18; Acts1:8; Hebrews 13:8; Psalms 91; III John 2 and St. John 6:28. When Dr. Punch is not ministering
at her church, or traveling; she fellowships with Brasewood Assembly of God, in which Nations around the world are represented.
She also likes to visit other churches where miracles are taking place.
Dr. Punch is the mother of wonderful
children who are college graduates, that love Jesus, serves God, and are in the church. She has one son, an Engineer;
and one daughter, a College Professor; and one granddaughter, a college graduate in Aerospace Engineering
from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Recently, she added to the family one great granddaughter, and great
twin-grandsons.
